Job Summary
Provide individualized nursing care to patients across the enterprise using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborate with physicians and inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care while managing patient triage, education, and coordination of care throughout the continuum. Practice within the full scope of nursing expertise and adhere to state licensure standards and the Nurse Practice Act. Care for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Schedule varies dependent on patient and unit needs, potentially including overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications, for example but not limited to: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) as determined by assignment
- An accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a National League of Nursing (NLN) or American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing
- A minimum of one year of nursing experience
