Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients across E8-Med/Obs/Tele, E7-PCU/Surgical Oncology, and T9-PCU units, managing high-acuity cases including heart failure, severe sepsis, and oncology. Provide transformational leadership by mentoring staff, assigning charge duties, and utilizing the nursing process to derive culturally appropriate outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient safety initiatives, evaluate clinical care, and participate in department-specific quality and evidence-based practice projects. Accept assignments in areas outside the primary unit while maintaining individualized competency and documenting all interventions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Two years of RN experience within the previous five-year period
- Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- CPR Certification
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
