Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans for individuals and families within the Critical Care Division. Assign or delegate tasks to LPNs and support staff based on patient needs and skill levels, while managing charge duties including staff assignments and lunches. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate clinical care, promote patient safety initiatives, and participate in department-specific quality and evidence-based practice projects. Provide verbal and written feedback to peers, supervise delegate scope of practice, and maintain a safe environment by assessing patient conditions and intervening appropriately. Document all actions, notify physicians of changes, and advocate for patients by resolving concerns and ensuring compassionate, patient-centered communication. Accept assignments across areas other than the primary unit, utilize effective time management to complete shift duties, and commit to continuous learning through professional development and peer review.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum Two years of RN experience within the previous five-year period
  • Current State of PA RN licensure
  • Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
  • CPR Certification
  • Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
  • Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate

Desired Qualifications

  • Preferred Certification in area of specialty
