Job Summary
Coordinate patient care plans and administer medications per physician orders in the pre-op and recovery environments. Obtain medical histories, vital signs, and IVs for procedure preparation while monitoring and communicating patient conditions. Serve as a primary coordinator for disciplines, assessing post-procedure recovery and discharge needs. Perform duties with little to no supervision, utilizing conscious sedation where applicable. Maintain professional communication with patients, families, staff, and physicians. Requires an active RN license, BLS certification, and one year of ASC experience. Schedule includes 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday with potential for overtime and cross-training.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing with an RN degree and Active License
- BLS mandatory
- Ability to work at other locations and overtime as needed
- Must be open to cross training and learning other areas as needed
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS preferred. May obtain within 6 months of hire
- Preferably one year experience in an ASC setting
- 1 year (Preferred)
