Job Summary
RN-Endo Nurse provides individualized and specialized nursing care to patients in the endoscopy center per physician orders and recognized nursing techniques, in accordance with Georgia nurse practice law and center policies. Responsible for planning, executing and evaluating nursing care with patient contact at every care phase. Must be self-directed and capable of working with minimal supervision; travel to a sister center may be required. Requires current Georgia RN license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and BLS certification; ACLS is recommended. Completion of the Airway Management Module is required before administering IV conscious sedation, with a post-test score of 100% on the conscious sedation module.
Required Qualifications
- Current State license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Georgia
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- BLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification
- Airway Management Module completion is required prior to administering IV conscious sedation (score of 100% on conscious sedation module post-test)
- Experience in GI endoscopy preferred
- Membership in GI specialty or other local, state, or national professional societies encouraged
