Job Summary
Promote wellness and fitness among employees and manage work-related injuries with the Workers' Compensation Specialist. Collaborate with the Safe Patient Handling Coordinator and Director to implement the ELITE Program for optimal safety outcomes. Ensure employees and volunteers remain free from infectious disease while maintaining accurate, confidential health records in compliance with Title 22, OSHA, and Joint Commission standards. Coordinate timely medical follow-up for staff or pre-hospital personnel exposed to infectious diseases. Work collaboratively with Infection Prevention, Human Resources, Department Managers, and Medical Staff to advance the center's mission. Days shift, 8-hour rotation, fixed days off on Saturday and Sunday.
Required Qualifications
- Registered nurse
- Three years of nursing experience
- Current licensure by the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Current CPR recognition
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements to include TJC standards, Title 22 regulations, and OSHA regulations related to employee health
- Ability to design and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance
- Knowledge of contemporary employee health trends
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
- Technical competence and professional clinical judgment
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position
Desired Qualifications
- Formal training in occupational/employee health
- One-year public or industrial health nurse experience
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related science field
- Certification in occupational/employee health
- COHN certification (Certified Occupational Health Nurse)
- Membership in occupational/employee health professional organization
