Job Summary
Assess situations to determine the best course of action for supporting, monitoring, and treating patients in critical care. Utilize critical thinking skills to manage critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patients and support physicians' orders. Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment by performing regular equipment checks and complying with safety standards. Collaborate effectively with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, and facilities while sharing shift change information and maintaining accurate documentation. Work collaboratively and communicate professionally with all partners. Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the position, including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
Required Qualifications
- Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN
- Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area
- EMT Certification in state(s) where required
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- Trauma Certification where required
- Prior flight experience
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS
- Advanced Certification (CEN, CCRN, CFRN)
