Job Summary
RN in Emergency Room at Union General delivers patient care, assigns staff as directed when serving as Charge Nurse, guides LPNs/CNAs and non-licensed personnel, participates in new staff orientation, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs. Coordinates shift operations under the Nurse Manager and in accordance with the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act. Requires strong communication, computer proficiency, ability to stand/walk/repeat movements, and ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds; ER experience preferred. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (or within 90 days); TNCC and ENPC preferred. Requires GA RN licensure or compact license and education as RN (ASN with BSN preferred).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year nursing experience (ER experience preferred)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS required or within 90 days of hire
- RN license in Georgia or compact RN license
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Minimum of Associates Degree of Nursing (preferred Bachelor’s)
