Job Summary
Provide nursing leadership for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care and safety under the Director of Nursing and Chief Nursing Officer. Collaborate with physicians and departments to coordinate patient and family needs while managing resources fiscally. Assure quality care through performance improvement processes. Maintain a current Missouri RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications, plus ENPC/PALS and TNCC/ATCN within one year. Support the mission of the 585-bed Research Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center offering obstetrics, stroke care, and cardiovascular rehabilitation across three Kansas City locations.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license from the Missouri Board of Professional Registration or an active compact license
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS certification
- Certification in area of specialty
- ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course) OR PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) OR ATCN (Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses)
