Job Summary
Conduct nursing care for patients in the Emergency Room using the nursing process and collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure safe delivery. Act as a patient advocate by utilizing organizational resources for delegation and participating in performance improvement activities while maintaining accountability for professional development within the legal scope of practice. Maintain licensure in Ohio and hold required certifications including BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS. Hold a Bachelor of Science in nursing or demonstrate ED experience as determined by unit scope of practice. This role supports Kettering Health's mission to promote and restore health through exceptional, safety-focused care across its network of medical centers.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE) if they are a new graduate nurse
- Bachelor of Science in nursing preferred (must be completed within 5 years of hire)
- BLS certification
- ACLS, NRP, PALS as determined by unit scope of practice
- ED Experience Required
