Job Summary
Assess, recognize, and address patients' psychological and physical needs in the St. James ED while fostering quality care for patients and families. Develop individualized treatment plans and oversee care delivered by LPNs and CNAs, ensuring compliance with hospital, regulatory, and professional guidelines. Act as a consultant to discipline-specific personnel, Intermountain physicians, and the Utah Department of Health, while initiating approved independent research projects and analyzing current clinical practices. Maintain appropriate cost controls and participate in clinical team conferences. Requires a BSN degree, current Montana RN license, and ACLS certification within 9 months. Full-time rotation between mid-shift (1:00 pm–1:00 am) and night shift (6:00 pm–6:00 am) with hourly rates ranging from $33.38 to $79.73.
Required Qualifications
- BSN Degree from an accredited program
- Current State of Montana Registered Nurse License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- TNCC or TCAR certification
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to read, analyze, interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations
- Ability to write reports
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, or regulatory agencies
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts
- Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing
- Ability to operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands
- Ability to see and read computer monitors and documents
- Ability to remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment
- Ability to lift and transport objects and office supplies, bending, kneeling and reaching
