Job Summary
The RN Emergency Department is responsible for triaging and assessing patients, administering medication, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with physicians on discharge plans. Key responsibilities include charting patient medical history accurately, educating patients upon discharge, and ensuring compliance with policies. Requires an accredited nursing program, Indiana RN license, and certifications from the American Heart Association. Two years of Critical Care experience is mandatory, with Emergency Department experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Program by date of hire
- Registered Nurse – licensed to practice in the state of Indiana upon hire date
- American Heart Association Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) – upon hire date, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – within 90 days of hire or transfer to position, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – within 90 days of hire or transfer to position, Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) - within 90 days of hire or transfer to position
- Two (2) years of Critical Care experience
