Job Summary
Assess patient needs and implement teaching strategies for diverse groups while effectively using the Nursing Process to deliver care. Delegate, direct, and assist licensed team members, managing nursing resources and serving as a leader on the Interdisciplinary Team. Evaluate data to promote changes that achieve optimal outcomes and maintain accountability for quality patient outcomes. Work night shifts from 7pm to 7am in the Morgan City Emergency Department, utilizing computer skills for data entry and demonstrating strong communication and organizational abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse Diploma
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Current RN License in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
- Good organizational skills
- Good time management skills and self-directed
- Demonstrates good judgement
- Good interpersonal skills
- Frequently exerting 10 to 20 pounds of force to move objects
- Occasionally exerting up to 100 pounds of force
