Job Summary
Lead patient care delivery using the nursing process, effectively delegating and directing licensed and ancillary team members to ensure quality outcomes. Assess learning needs, implement teaching strategies for diverse patient and family groups, and manage nursing resources as a partner on the interdisciplinary team. Utilize data to evaluate and promote changes that achieve optimal outcomes while embracing behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale. Adapt communication styles and respect patient privacy across all interactions. Maintain knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure full compliance with safety and privacy programs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Certification within 30 days of hire
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to be self-directed
- Ability to demonstrate good judgement
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently
- Ability to lift 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
- Residence in an eligible location (not Colorado, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, Washington D.C.)
