Job Summary
Evaluate patients at triage, assess health issues, and administer medications via IV, IM, or oral routes. Provide age-appropriate care for neonates through the elderly while communicating with providers and interdisciplinary teams. Educate patients and families on care plans, participate in problem-solving and performance improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with EMTALA and safety standards. Work three 12-hour day shifts (6:00a-6:30p) with mandatory weekend and holiday coverage every third week. Requires active Nebraska or Iowa RN license, BLS and ACLS, and one year acute care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or Iowa
- Current BLS & ACLS
- PALS (Within 60 days of hire)
- TNCC or ATCN (Within one year of hire)
- Minimum of one year in acute care
- Critical thinking
- Rapid decision-making
- Cardiac monitoring
- IV/central line management
- Life-sustaining interventions
- Every third weekend
- Every third holiday
