RN Emergency Department Weekend Nights

RN in the Emergency Department for Weekend Night shifts at AdventHealth in Chatsworth, GA. The role requires conducting comprehensive patient assessments via observation, interviews, and physical exams to identify physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs; developing and implementing individualized care plans with SMART goals in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team; safely administering medications and performing procedures such as wound care, catheterization, and IV therapy; delivering patient and family education on health conditions, treatments, and self-care, including discharge instructions and follow-up planning; advocating for patient safety and rights, coordinating with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other providers to ensure comprehensive care; collecting and analyzing health data, documenting care activities in the medical record, and contributing to unit-based quality improvement; performing nursing procedures, ensuring safety and adherence to policies, and participating in bedside shift reports to maintain continuity of care; functionally supervising Nursing Assistants as needed and providing education to patients and families from admission through discharge. Strong emphasis on collaboration, communication, safety, HIPAA compliance, and ongoing professional development. Education: ADN required; BSN preferred; Licenses/Certifications: RN license, BLS, and other listed certifications preferred.
