Job Summary
Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients in the emergency department, supervising assigned staff and coordinating care with other disciplines. Collects assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues, developing and implementing intervention plans to promote a safe environment. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers while participating in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates duties appropriately and performs other job-related tasks as assigned. Requires BSN, RN licensure, and certifications including ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or TEAM-A or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Access to and understanding of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
