Job Summary
Assess, triage, and treat patients in the Emergency Department, including rapid evaluation based on acuity, stabilization, and discharge planning. Respond to life-threatening emergencies such as cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, and trauma while documenting care in the electronic health record. Communicate effectively with physicians and advanced practice providers, providing patient education on plans of care and medications. Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, infection prevention, and patient safety protocols while monitoring patient conditions and offering emotional support to families during traumatic events. Work 12-hour shifts rotating days and nights with two weekends out of six weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Current State of Minnesota RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- Current TNCC certification
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in emergency nursing, ICU, or trauma
- Must work well under pressure
- Sensitive to concerns and confidentiality of the patient
- Ability to work with patients of all ages and backgrounds with professionalism and care
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
