Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle using the nursing process. Manage critically ill patients, administer appropriate drug therapy, and conduct triage and medical screening exams. Coordinate patient care activities and provide discharge education within the 3/4:1 patient-to-RN ratio. Maintain standards of practice and function within organizational policies while supporting the multidisciplinary emergency team. Requires current Georgia RN licensure, BCLS, and one year of hospital experience for PRN positions. Salary ranges from $75,000 to $90,000 for evening shifts at this Level III trauma center.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nursing program
- Bachelor's Degree
- No experience required
- New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- 1 year in a hospital setting
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PALS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU – ACLS
- BLS
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP
- Nursery- NRP

- Advanced certification in field of specialty

- Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 6 months to obtain the PALS certification
