Job Summary
Perform rapid, systematic patient triage to prioritize life-threatening conditions and conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments for patients across the lifespan. Promptly recognize critical status changes, collaborate with physicians and specialists, and provide clear handoff communication during transfers. Offer emotional support to patients and families while serving as a patient advocate to ensure care decisions reflect their best interests. Float between Hilton Head Hospital and Bluffton FSED in a 25-bed unit specializing in immediate medical care for severe or urgent illnesses. Full-time days/mids or nights rotation with weekend and holiday requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state
- One year relevant experience
- Relocation assistance may be available
- Weekend and holiday rotation required
Desired Qualifications
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred
- If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license
- In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course
