Job Summary
Conduct thorough patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor for side effects in the Emergency Department. Coordinate high-quality, patient-centered care by collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans. Respond to medical emergencies, participate in life-saving interventions like CPR and code activities, and assist physicians during procedures within your scope of competency. Provide patient and family education on medical conditions and post-discharge care while implementing infection control protocols and operating medical equipment. Perform rapid triage, conduct emergency procedures such as intubation and wound care, and stabilize patients with IV lines and respiratory support. Maintain regular attendance and comply with all policies to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
- Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care
- Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Complies with all policies and standards
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of ED RN experience
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation
