Job Summary
Provide patient care in the Level II Trauma, Level I Stroke, and STEMI emergency department using the nursing process. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients, coordinate care with physicians and other departments, and ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards while managing a 3-4 patient ratio across a 63-bed unit. Work the night shift from 6:00 pm to 6:30 am, full-time (36 hours/week), with physical demands including lifting 50 pounds and prolonged standing. Maintain current Missouri RN licensure and Basic Life Support certification. Join a collaborative team within an expanding facility undergoing construction to add six trauma bays and a dedicated behavioral health area, completing by 2027.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current Missouri RN license and/or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Full Time (36 hrs/per week) availability
- Night Shift: 6:00pm-6:3am availability
