Job Summary
Provide patient care in the Level II Trauma, Level I Stroke, and STEMI emergency department using the nursing process. Evaluate care effectiveness, coordinate patient care with other departments, and maintain patient confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards while managing a 3-4 patient ratio in a 63-bed unit. Work night shifts from 6:00pm to 6:30am, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. Maintain a current Missouri RN license and Basic Life Support certification. Join a collaborative team supporting a 16-week residency program and an upcoming expansion to 73 beds.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current Missouri RN license and/or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Night Shift availability (6:00pm-6:3am)
- Full Time employment (36 hrs/per week)
