Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in the Emergency Trauma Center, maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care with other departments. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers while upholding patient rights and confidentiality. Interact with nearly every healthcare specialty to manage patients with minor illnesses to life-threatening diseases or injuries across 70 exam and treatment areas. This Level 1 Trauma and Stroke center serves as the region's only Regional Burn Center, treating over 72,000 patients annually in a fast-paced environment. The team carries out a 130-year tradition of Catholic ministry, offering a graduate sign-on bonus of $5,000 and experienced RN bonuses up to $20,000.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a State approved School of Nursing
- Current RN licensure with the Missouri State Board of Nursing or current RN Missouri temporary work permit
- Hospital based experience
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probation period
- Current ACLS card or complete a course within 6 months of their hire date
- Current PALS or ENPC, and TNCC cards or complete courses within one year of hire date
