Job Summary
Emergency Department Registered Nurse delivering patient care through the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation). Provides triage, ongoing assessment, and immediate interventions for patients with urgent or critical illnesses, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes. Role includes rotating 7:00pm–7:30am shifts (24 hours per week) with weekends/holidays; supports patient education and discharge planning. Minimum qualifications include RN license in Massachusetts, BLS, ACLS within 3 months, De-escalation within 60 days, and PALS/ENPC within 6 months; Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. Sign-on bonus of $5,000 payable after 90 days for external applicants. Facility: Cooley Dickinson Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham; onsite in Northampton, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- RN Massachusetts license
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire or transfer into department
- De-escalation certification required within 60 days of hire or transfer into department
- PALS or ENPC certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer into department
- Experience: Critical Care RN and/or Emergency RN experience required
Desired Qualifications
