Job Summary
Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department, supervising assigned staff and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. Collects and analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses, develops intervention plans, and implements strategies to promote a safe environment. Collaborates with patients and families to provide health information and learning opportunities, while participating in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates duties appropriately and performs other job-related tasks as assigned. Requires BSN, RN licensure, ACLS/ALS certification, and experience in acute care settings.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS
- at least one year of experience in the specialty for which they are being hired
- all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
