Job Summary
Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and the nursing process. Supervises and directs activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff while coordinating care with other disciplines. Collects relevant health data, analyzes assessment information to determine diagnosis and care issues, and develops intervention plans. Implements care plans, coordinates delivery, and employs strategies to promote a safe environment. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in a healing environment, providing learning opportunities and direct health information. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and delegates duties appropriately to team members.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS
- at least one year of experience in the specialty for which they are being hired
- all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
