RN - Emergency Department (Full Time, Night Shift)

Job Summary
Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards, supervising staff and coordinating with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment. Collects relevant health data, analyzes assessments to determine diagnosis and care issues, and develops plans prescribing interventions to attain outcomes. Implements care plans, delegates duties to team members, and participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in a safe, healing environment while providing learning opportunities and direct health information. Requires BSN preference, acute care experience, RN licensure, ACLS/ALS certification, and PALS certification. Full-time night shift position at Adventist Health Bakersfield.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS
- at least one year of experience in the specialty for which they are being hired
- all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
