Job Summary
Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department according to established standards, supervising assigned nursing staff and coordinating care with other disciplines. Collects and analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues, developing and implementing intervention plans while evaluating progress toward outcomes. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in a safe environment, participates in discharge planning, and delegates duties to team members as assigned. Requires BSN, RN licensure, ACLS/ALS certification, and one year of acute care experience. Full-time night shift position at Adventist Health Bakersfield.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS
- at least one year of experience in the specialty for which they are being hired
- all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
