Job Summary
Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department, supervising staff levels and directing activities while utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment. Collects relevant health data, analyzes assessments to determine diagnoses, and develops intervention plans to attain patient outcomes. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in a safe, healing environment, providing learning opportunities and direct health information. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and delegates duties to team members as assigned. Requires RN licensure, ACLS/PALS certification, and BLS; offers $15,000 sign-on incentive for eligible hires with one year of specialty experience.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS
- All required vaccinations
- Access to and reading of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
- Understanding of E-Verify contents
- At least one year of experience in the specialty for which they are being hired
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
