Job Summary
Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients in the Emergency Department according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare team; provides learning opportunities for patients/family and team members; participates in discharge planning; delegates duties appropriately; and performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
- CPR/BLS: Required
- ACLS: Required
- PALS or HS-PALS or RQIPALS: Required
