Job Summary
Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department, supervising assigned staff and coordinating care with other disciplines. Collects and analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses, develops intervention plans, and implements strategies to promote a safe environment. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers while participating in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates duties appropriately and performs other job-related tasks as assigned. Requires BSN, RN licensure, ACLS/ALS certification, and one year of acute care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS
- at least one year of experience in the specialty for which they are being hired
- all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
