Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle within the Henry Emergency Department. Manage critically ill patients, perform triage and medical screening exams, and administer appropriate drug therapy. Coordinate patient care activities and provide discharge education. Maintain standards of practice while functioning within organizational policies. This Level III trauma center offers a 3:4 patient-to-RN ratio and includes a recently added 18-bed Cardiac Observation Unit. The multidisciplinary team includes ED physicians, advanced practice providers, paramedics, and respiratory staff.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- PALS Certification
- NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NICU- NRP
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP
- Nursery- NRP
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU - ACLS
- BLS
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelorâ€TMs Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PEARS Certification
- Mother/Baby- NRP
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
