Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive, holistic nursing care to emergency department patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Exercise professional autonomy by making informed clinical decisions and delegating aspects of care to qualified personnel. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess concerns and integrate data into tailored care plans, continuously evaluating outcomes to enhance quality. Maintain a 0.75 FTE schedule with day/night rotations starting at 0700 or 1900, including weekends and holidays, with no call obligation. Requires current licensure, BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within specified timelines, plus one year of critical care or high-census ED experience.
Required Qualifications
- BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
- Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year
- Pediatric Advanced Life support (PALS) certification within 1 year
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification within 2 years
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within 2 years
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- One year of Critical Care experience (includes ICU, PACU, 24 Hour Care) or Emergency Department experience in an ED with a yearly census greater than 20,000
- All experience must be within the last 5 years
