Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the ER and Chest Pain Unit while incorporating family-centered principles. Partner with patients and families to develop teaching strategies, document education in health records, and discharge patients according to the nursing process. Utilize the ANA scope of practice under Nurse Leader direction to ensure quality outcomes. Requires BSN within five years, NCLEX licensure, and certifications including ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Certification. Part-time variable schedule with 24-hour weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing
- Bachelors in Nursing within 5 years
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination
- MI Registered Nurse (RN)
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days
- AHA Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 Year
- NIH Stroke Certification - NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale within 90 days
- AHA Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) within 1 year
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - ENA Emergency Nurses Association ER and Chest Pain Unit within 2 years
- comply with the MMR, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza vaccine requirement
