Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including level 1 trauma designation, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Prioritize patient wellness and safety while modeling proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff. Contribute to secure quality at the point of care within a multidisciplinary team environment. Requires state RN licensure, six months of nursing experience, and current BLS certification. Full-time onsite role with flexible shifts at UCHealth UCHth Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, CO.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience.
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience.
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS preferred at time of hire or within 6 months of hire.
- NIHSS within 6 months.
- ENPC or PALS within 6 months of hire and TNCC or ATCN within 1 year of hire.
