Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, and execute nursing interventions for a Level 2 trauma, stroke, and chest pain center. Manage IV placement, medication administration, sedation assistance, casting, and wound management while maintaining accurate documentation. Collaborate with providers, family, and staff to modify care plans based on continuous evaluation and ensure patient and employee safety. Requires 2+ years of ED RN experience, ACLS, BLS, TCRN, TNCC, and TNS certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Prior ED RN experience
- RN >2yrs
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) within 2 year - Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 2 years - Emergency Nurses Association (ENA)
- Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS) within 2 years - Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year - American Heart Association (AHA)
