Job Summary
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides rapid, accurate patient assessments and continuous nursing care within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include planning, implementing and evaluating care; collaborating with healthcare professionals; educating patients and families; and ensuring readiness to respond to emergencies. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current New York State licensure or permit, and maintain ACLS and PALS; TNCC and ENPC are highly recommended. Prior Med/Surg experience is preferable. The role requires strong clinical judgment to rapidly assess physical and mental health conditions and coordinate services to support patient well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Must possess current New York State license or current permit.
- Must achieve and maintain ACLS and PALS. TNCC and ENPC highly recommended. Certification in Emergency Nursing desirable.
- One year Med/Surg experience preferable.
