Job Summary
Provide direct patient care and function as a patient advocate in the Emergency Department, assessing comprehensive nursing needs for assigned patients. Coordinate education processes for patients and families, while continuously planning, implementing, and evaluating care plans with physician partners and interdisciplinary team members. Communicate relevant information and document changes in patient condition to supervisors and physicians in a timely manner. Requires current WA RN license, minimum one-year ER experience, and BLS/ACLS certifications by start date. BSN or MSN preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required)
- Current WA State Registered Nurse License
- Minimum of one-year recent RN experience in Emergency Room nursing
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS- American Heart Association by start date
- Current Healthcare Provider ACLS- American Heart Association by start date
- PALS within 6 months of hire
- TNCC within a year of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- CEN certification is preferred
