Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for chest pain, trauma, hemorrhage, acute medical illness, drug overdose, psychiatric, and neurological conditions in a Level 3 Emergency Center. Partner with patients and families to develop teaching strategies, document education in health records, and discharge according to the nursing process. Provide quality care under Nurse Leader direction while adhering to Corewell Health policies. Night shift coverage (7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.) with variable days and third-weekend rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Diploma in Nursing
- Bachelors in Nursing
- MI Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Canadian Heart and Stroke certification
- ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer
- TNCC within 1 year of hire/transfer
- ENPC within 15 months of hire/transfer
- NCLEX licensure examination
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role
Desired Qualifications
- Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
- Prefer RN experience
- May consider New Graduates
