Job Summary
Lead orientation, onboarding, and ongoing education of nurses and clinical staff within the Interventional Radiology department. Serve as a clinical resource by mentoring staff, providing bedside coaching, and supporting evidence-based nursing practice. Partner with department leadership to identify educational needs, develop competencies, and improve quality, safety, and patient experience outcomes. Design and deliver educational programs, skills training, and competency assessments while supporting specialty certification and professional development. Maintain clinical expertise by providing direct patient care as needed and promoting excellence in Interventional Radiology nursing practice.
Required Qualifications
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- 3-5 years of recent Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, EP Lab, or other procedural nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Previous education, preceptor, or staff development experience
- Experience using Epic or another electronic medical record system
- Specialty certification or willingness to obtain certification within one year of eligibility
