Job Summary
Conduct rapid patient assessments, triage, and emergency interventions in the ER, including intubation, wound care, and suturing. Administer prescribed medications, monitor for side effects, and operate medical equipment like IV pumps and ventilators. Collaborate with physicians and the care team to develop individualized care plans, implement infection control protocols, and advocate for patient rights. Provide patient and family education on conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care while documenting findings accurately. Respond to medical emergencies and participate in code team activities as needed. Perform audits, chart reviews, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to standards. Requires RN licensure, BCLS, and 0-2 years of acute care experience. Full-time weekend shift at Grandview Medical Center with up to $20K student loan contribution.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
- Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
- Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care
- Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
