Job Summary
RN ED role in UCHealth Emergency Department with direct patient care using the nursing process. Onsite, not remote or hybrid. Provides top-of-scope nursing care in a fast-paced ED, emphasizes multidisciplinary teamwork, and supports ongoing clinical education and competency validation. Key duties include direct patient care, safety and quality at point of care, and precepting new staff; environment emphasizes emergency care standards, trauma designation, and ongoing professional development with comprehensive UCHealth benefits and incentive programs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of RN experience
- ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire
- Advanced CPI, TNCC/ATCN, and ENPC within 1 year of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- PALS Certification
- BLS - CPR for the Professional Rescuer/CPR card valid through start date
