Job Summary
RN ED Regional Float Pool provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department with a level-1 trauma care scope, working onsite in Aurora, CO. The role requires RN licensure, 6 months RN experience, and multiple certifications (PALS, NIHSS, TNCC/ATCN, ACLS, BLS). The position supports a multidisciplinary team, emphasizes evidence-based practice, and includes precepting and clinical orientation responsibilities. The role is nightshift, PRN, on-site with no remote option, and operates within UCHealth’s ED and float-pool framework. Eligible candidates will work within an ED that includes direct care at ED level of care up to Level 1 trauma designation and participate in ongoing professional development and organizational programs including competitive compensation, benefits, and tuition assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- PALS and NIHSS within 6 months of hire
- TNCC or ATCN within 6 months of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- PALS Certification
- Trauma Nurse Core Course
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale
- BLS - CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
