Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including Level 1 trauma designation, utilizing the nursing process and a multidisciplinary team approach. Prioritize patient wellness, evidence-based practice, and safety at the point of care while modeling proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff. Contribute to secure outcomes in a fast-paced clinical environment within the UCHealth Anschutz Inpt Pavilion. This full-time night shift role requires 72 hours per pay period with a quarterly incentive program for night shift RNs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- PALS certification within 6 months of hire
- NIHSS certification within 6 months of hire
- TNCC certification within 6 months of hire
- ATCN certification within 6 months of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Direct care includes Emergency Department level of care up to and including level 1 trauma designation
