Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care in the Emergency Department up to and including Level 1 trauma designation, utilizing the nursing process and BCEN certification standards. Prioritize wellness, evidence-based practice, and a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes while modeling proficiency through precepting new staff. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care within a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment. This full-time, 72-hour night shift position offers a quarterly incentive program, comprehensive total rewards including tuition reimbursement, and access to academic degrees and certificate programs to promote professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- PALS certification within 6 months of hire
- NIHSS certification within 6 months of hire
- TNCC certification within 6 months of hire
- ATCN certification within 6 months of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- PALS Certification
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Direct care includes Emergency Department level of care up to and including level 1 trauma designation
