Job Summary

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle while maintaining standards of practice and coordinating care activities for assigned staff. Function within organizational policies and procedures to demonstrate professional growth and accountability. Obtain current Georgia RN licensure and BCLS certification, with ACLS and specialty-specific certifications required within 180 days of hire. Complete orientation and obtain additional certifications such as PALS or NRP depending on the assigned unit. Join the nursing team at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
  • No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
  • Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support
  • ACLS Certification
  • CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
  • ACLS and PALS Certification
  • Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
  • PALS Certification
  • PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU – ACLS
  • BLS
  • Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
  • NRP
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
  • NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP
  • Nursery- NRP

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
  • 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
  • Advanced certification in field of specialty
  • Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date
  • Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 6 months to obtain the PALS certification
  • Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date within 180 Days
  • Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification – prior to independent chemotherapy administration Upon Hire
  • Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date within 180 Days
  • PEARS or PALS Certification
  • PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU – ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients
  • OR – BLS required only within 180 Days
  • Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)
  • NRP by the end of orientation period
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date
  • Mother/Baby- NRP by the end of orientation period
  • NICU- NRP by the end of orientation period
  • NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP by the end of orientation period
  • Nursery- NRP by the end of orientation period
