Job Summary

Conduct patient-centered care in the ED, performing thorough assessments, administering medications, and operating medical equipment like IV pumps and ventilators. Respond to medical emergencies by triaging patients, stabilizing conditions, and performing procedures such as intubation, wound care, and suturing. Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans, advocate for patient rights, and provide education on conditions and post-discharge care. Adhere to infection control protocols, National Patient Safety Goals, and organizational policies while documenting all findings and interventions accurately. Maintain regular attendance and participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
  • Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices
  • Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
  • Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care
  • Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support

Desired Qualifications

  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation
