Job Summary
RN - ED PRN position requiring leadership in the emergency department with responsibilities including overseeing patient care delivery, directing and delegating to home health aides and nursing staff based on patient needs and staff capability, coordinating care with patients, families, physicians, and community resources, ensuring informed consent and patient rights education, direct patient/family teaching in the home setting, maintaining knowledge of current nursing standards and hospital policies, proficient use of equipment, effective communication within nursing team, on-call triage and potential in-person visits, and supervision of home health aides for Medicare/Medicaid compliance; Requires ADN or higher, NM or Compact-state RN license, BLS; ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications as applicable to ED/critical care roles; EPIC charting familiarity; compensation range provided for a PRN/variable schedule; locations in Santa Fe, NM and Rochester, NY; full job responsibilities include clinical resource leadership, assessment and care plan adjustments, and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from accredited nursing program (minimum ADN preparation)
- State of New Mexico Nursing License or Compact State Nursing License
- BLS Certification for RN roles
- ACLS certification (ED/CC/CV lab, GI Lab, IR, PPC, Surgical Services Pre-Op/Recovery)
- NRP for Family Birthing Center/Labor & Delivery/Neonatal care
- PALS for Children services/ED/CC/Lab/IR/Surgical Services
