Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while teaching and supporting patients, families, and significant others. Supervise and direct the activities of LPNs and CNAs to maintain professional nursing standards across various care areas. Ensure safe, empathetic care delivery for patients of all ages while maintaining current registration, valid license, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NRP. This PRN role requires meeting all Iowa Board of Nursing CEU requirements and includes a post-offer fit-for-duty assessment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Must meet all CEU requirements mandated by the Iowa Board of Nursing
- Must maintain current registration and valid license with the Iowa Board of Nursing
- Must maintain knowledge in all areas of nursing
- Must maintain certification in BLS
- Must maintain certification in ACLS
- Must maintain certification in PALS
- Must maintain certification in TNCC
- Must maintain certification in NRP
- Effective communication skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Leadership skills
- Post-offer fit-for-duty assessment required
